It is true that even if brothers die for brothers, still no martyr’s blood is shed for the forgiveness of the brothers’ sins – this is what Christ did for us.
We can only be grateful to him by always making conscious efforts to AVOID sins and NOT to be comfortable in sins. When we fall into sin due to human weakness, we should repent and then rush to the Sacrament of CONFESSION.
Remember what our Catechism teaches us: “… Our Saviour died for our sins and those who sin grievously crucify again to themselves the Son of God, making him a MOCKERY” (Cf. CCD, n. 291).
