Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, a priest of Enugu Diocese and the Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria (AMEN), on Sunday 7th May 2021, asked the Mother Church and his Bishop for forgiveness in the wake of the recent event that saw the cathedral desecrated.
Following the recent event that took place at the Adoration Ground, which saw Rev. Fr. Mbaka kidnapped and later released, the man of God has come out publicly to say that the Church has nothing to do with the situation.
Speaking at the Adoration ground, he urged the people not to be dispirited in this tempting times but to courageous and uphold their faith especially in the Church. Fr. Mbaka explicitly made it clear that he is a child of the church and a mere servant who is serving the church.
Consequently, he knelt down and asked the Mother Church and his Bishop for forgiveness as he has no problems with the Church and his Bishop.
Fr. Mbaka went on to say that everything about him is for the Church and that he can never disobey the Church. He praised the people for their courage to look for their missing priest and expressed his dissatisfaction over the desecrated cathedral but promise to join in the reparatory prayer for the santification of the cathedral.
