The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has said there isn’t anything amiss with the calls for the rebuilding of the nation, but yet, demands for alleviation of hunger and poverty is more basic and important to the Federal Government.
According to reports, Amaechi expressed this on Sunday.
“In the event that to you what is significant is rebuilding of the nation, I don’t see anything amiss with rebuilding. Yet, I’m stating it isn’t the most basic issue we have.
“The most basic issue we have is hunger and poverty, which is bringing about instability and insecurity,” he said.
Amaechi who was Rivers State Governor somewhere in the range of 2007 and 2015, likewise said creating occupations for individuals will get them far from wrongdoing.
“In the case you’re able to create work and employment, you create stable security.
“At the point when you don’t make an authentic economy, individuals will make for themselves an ill-conceived economy and have the option to take care of themselves,” he added.
